Vehicle Route
Every vehicle trip from the Trip & Fuel form: route, distance, load, duration, and fuel consumption per km, per load, per hour. The fleet efficiency report.
Questions It Answers
- What is vehicle X's fuel per km on a given route?
- Which trips have odometer distance far above the route length?
- What is the fuel cost per load (per kg or per person) this week?
Filters
| Filter | What it does |
|---|---|
| Transaction Date | Date range of the trips. Empty means the whole history - slow on years of data, so always fill it. |
| Division | Pre-filled from the user role's default division. A role locked to one division cannot change it. |
| Vehicle | One vehicle from the master. |
| Vehicle Route | One route from the Vehicle Route master. |
| Trip Status | Draft, Ongoing, Done, or Cancelled. |
How To Read It
One row per trip.
| Column | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Invoice, Transaction Date, Duration, Vehicle, Driver, Vehicle Route | Trip identity. |
| Route Length (KM) | Route length per the Route master - not the distance driven. |
| Total Distance | Trip odometer end - start. |
| Load Quantity (KG/Persons) | Load entered on the trip. |
| Fuel Used, Total Fuel Cost | Litres and money from Fuel Log entries that reference this trip. |
| Fuel / KM, Fuel / Load, Fuel / Hour | Litres divided by master route length, by load, and by duration hours. Zero when the divisor is empty. |
| Trip Status, Purpose | Status and purpose of the trip. |
Why The Numbers May Differ
- Fuel / KM uses the master route length, not odometer Total Distance; a trip with a detour looks wasteful when it simply drove further - compare both columns.
- Refuellings not linked to a trip number are not counted, so consumption can look like zero.
- Without a Status filter, Draft and Cancelled trips show too.
