How To Read It
One block per payment document (Journal Voucher, Date, Division, Subclass, Student, Name, Total Payment, Payment Type), then detail rows.
| Column | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Payment Name | The bill type paid (tuition for a month, uniform, ...). |
| Payment, Discount, Subtotal | Bill value, discount granted, and amount paid = Payment - Discount. |
| Total Payment | Sum of the document's detail subtotals. |
Why The Numbers May Differ
- What shows are payment documents; unpaid bills are in Student Arrears.
- A discount reduces arrears just like a payment - a fully discounted student looks settled without money coming in.
- Journal Voucher is the journal number this payment created; look it up in the General Ledger for the accounting side.
