Incoming Inventory
Inventory In documents (stock-ins outside purchasing: opening stock, donations, found items) with products, quantity, COGS, and value.
Questions It Answers
- What stock was brought in without a purchase this month, and what is it worth?
- Which documents brought in a given product?
- What opening inventory value was entered when the system went live?
Filters
| Filter | What it does |
|---|---|
| Transaction Date | Date range of the documents. Empty means the whole history - slow on years of data, so always fill it. |
| Product Code | One product only - handy for tracing the history of a single item. |
| Division | Pre-filled from the user role's default division. A role locked to one division cannot change it. |
| Department | Limits to one department (warehouse/outlet) inside the division; pre-filled from the role default when set. |
| Product Group | One group from the Product Group master. |
How To Read It
One row per product per document: Number, Invoice (document number), Product Name, Quantity, Unit, Serial Number, Expiration Date, Cost of Goods Sold (per-unit COGS used by the document), Subtotal (quantity x COGS), Memo.
Source: approved Inventory In form documents (when the approval workflow is on).
Why The Numbers May Differ
- Purchases, sales returns, and production output are not here even though they add stock - each has its own report.
- Unapproved documents are absent and have not changed stock yet.
- The Product Code and Product Group filters limit rows, not documents.
