Purchase Return Summary
One row per purchase-return note: gross, discount, tax, rewards sent back, expenses, return total, and money already recovered from the supplier.
Questions It Answers
- What is the total purchase return per division this period?
- Which returns has the supplier not yet credited or refunded?
- What supplier rewards were sent back with the returns?
Filters
| Filter | What it does |
|---|---|
| Transaction Date | Date range of the return notes. Empty means the whole history - slow on years of data, so always fill it. |
| Division | Pre-filled from the user role's default division. A role locked to one division cannot change it. |
| Currency | Only transactions in that currency. Amounts are still shown in the company default currency. |
How To Read It
| Column | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Purchase Invoice, Purchase Date, Supplier Name | Number and date of the return note (not the original invoice), and its supplier. |
| Gross | Sum of purchase price x quantity over all lines, before discounts. |
| Discount Value | Total line discount. Invoice discount is not shown separately - it is already reflected in Net. |
| Tax | Line VAT plus invoice extra tax. |
| Reward, Reward tax | Supplier reward products sent back with the return, and their tax. |
| Expenses | Charges applied to the return. |
| Net | Return total owed to the company. |
| Payment | Money already recovered or offset (return note Payments tab). Net - Payment = still open. |
Why The Numbers May Differ
- A return offset directly against payables shows as a full Payment - that does not mean cash came in.
- Documents still waiting for approval are not counted. If the approval workflow is on and the figures look low, check the Approval Queue.
