Print Table QR Code
Not a figures report: prints a QR code for each restaurant table. Customers scan it to order for themselves through the Order via QR Code page.
Questions It Answers
- How do I make a QR code for a new table?
- Why can't customers order from the old QR code?
- How do I size the print to fit a tent card?
Filters
| Filter | What it does |
|---|---|
| Point of Sale | Required. The till that will receive this table's orders. |
| Table | One table, or empty for every table of that POS (from the Table master). |
| Expiration Date | Required. Date and time the code stops working - embedded in the code. After it, scans are rejected and the code must be reprinted. |
| Barcode Type | Required, default QR code. |
| Width, Scale, Margin (mm), Print Frame | Image size (defaults: width 300, scale 8, margin 5 mm) and a cutting frame for tent cards. |
How To Read It
One code per table, with POINT OF SALE=..., TABLE=... and a scanning note underneath. The code holds a link to the Order via QR Code page with the POS number, table number, and expiry.
There is a Print Table QR Code (RAW) variant without size settings - for exporting and laying out yourself in a design tool.
Common Problems
- Scanning shows "invalid link": the code was made without an expiry, or the expiry has passed. Reprint.
- Orders reach the wrong till: the code was made for another POS. The POS number is printed under the code - check before sticking it on.
- A table is missing from the choices: it has not been created in the Table master for that POS.
