Filters
| Filter | What it does |
|---|---|
| From Date, Until Date | Fill in both (date and time). Movements before From Date form the opening balance; between the two, in/out; up to Until Date, the closing balance. |
| Division | Pre-filled from the user role's default division. A role locked to one division cannot change it. |
| Department | Limits to one department (warehouse/outlet) inside the division; pre-filled from the role default when set. |
| Product Code | One product only - handy for tracing the history of a single item. |
| Product Group | Restricts to products in one group. |
How to Read the Result
One row per product; the footer totals every column.
| Column | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Product Code, Product Name, Unit | The product and its base unit - all quantities are in the base unit. |
| Beginning Quantity, Beginning Value | Balance before From Date; value = quantity x the product's latest COGS in that division up to From Date. |
| Incoming Quantity, Incoming Value | Total stock in during the period; value = quantity x the latest COGS up to Until Date. |
| Outgoing Quantity, Outgoing Value | Total stock out during the period, valued with the same COGS (up to Until Date). |
| Ending Quantity, Ending Value | Balance up to Until Date = beginning + in - out; valued with the COGS up to Until Date. |
| Description | The same closing balance rewritten in larger units (e.g. 2 boxes 5 pcs). |
Products whose four quantities are all zero do not appear.
Why Figures Can Differ
- Beginning Value uses the COGS up to the start date while Ending Value uses the COGS up to the end date - if COGS changed within the period, Ending Value is not Beginning + In - Out.
- Incoming and Outgoing Values are valued with one COGS (end of period), not the purchase price of each document; for per-document prices use COGS History or the purchase reports.
- Transfers between departments appear as out in one department and in in another; without a department filter they cancel out in the totals.
- The Product Group filter reads the group on the product master at run time, not at transaction time.
