- What is in adjustment document X?
Filters
| Filter | What it does |
|---|---|
| Transaction Date | Up to a date (<=) or a range (between) of adjustment documents. |
| Product Code | One product only - handy for tracing the history of a single item. |
| Invoice | Inventory Adjustment document number - exact or partial. |
| Division | Pre-filled from the user role's default division. A role locked to one division cannot change it. |
| Department | One department. |
How To Read It
One row per product (and serial number/expiry/unit) per division and department, summed over every document in the filter.
| Column | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Average COGS | Average COGS the documents used to value the variance. |
| Recorded Qty, Physical Qty | Quantity per the system at stock-take time, and the physically counted quantity. |
| Plus (Quantity, Value) | Physical > recorded: stock added, and its value. |
| Minus (Quantity, Value) | Physical < recorded: stock removed, and its value. |
Why The Numbers May Differ
- Only posted documents; draft adjustments are absent and have not changed stock yet.
- Rows merge per product across documents when the Invoice filter is empty - fill Invoice to see a single document.
- Value uses COGS at adjustment time; inventory valuation reports use the latest COGS, so the two can differ for products whose COGS changed later.
