Farm Weight & ADG Report
Weight development and average daily gain. It only covers cycles whose animal type tracks weight.
When This Report Is Used
- When judging growth of meat animals or ruminants.
- When deciding harvest timing against a target weight.
- When testing how a feed change affected growth.
How to Run It
- Fill in the required batch or house filter. Farm reports always ask for at least one, so the result does not drag in the whole history.
- Set the date range to match the question, for example one production week or a full cycle.
- Run the report, read the figures, then print or export once they look right.
How to Read the Result
- Daily ADG divides the weight difference by the number of days, so irregular weighing intervals still read correctly.
- Cumulative ADG is measured against the cycle opening weight and is steadier for judging a trend.
- A falling weight almost always means a mis-weighing or a typo, not shrinking animals.
Common Problems
- A cycle does not appear at all: its animal type does not have track weight switched on.
- ADG is empty on a row: there is no earlier weighing to compare against.
- The result is empty: check the batch filter and date range first, then add other filters one at a time.
- Numbers disagree with another report: make sure the date range and batch selected are exactly the same.
