Farm Event & Livestock Movement
The accountability trail behind the population figure: morning and evening deaths, additions, sales, transfers in and out, losses, net change, and running population - with invoice numbers and destination houses.
When This Report Is Used
- When the reported population does not match the physical count at the house.
- When tracing animal transfers between houses.
- When an audit asks for evidence behind a change in head count.
How to Run It
- Fill in the required batch or house filter. Farm reports always ask for at least one, so the result does not drag in the whole history.
- Set the date range to match the question, for example one production week or a full cycle.
- Run the report, read the figures, then print or export once they look right.
How to Read the Result
- The Moved In column is never typed by anyone. It is derived from the source house moved-out rows pointing at this batch - which is why the two sides cannot disagree.
- Net change is every addition minus every reduction that day; running population is its accumulation.
- Sold rows carry their invoice number, so they can be matched against the sales transaction directly.
Common Problems
- Animals appear to vanish from the system: most likely they were moved out without a correct destination batch.
- The destination house population does not grow: the source house moved-out row does not point at the right batch.
- The result is empty: check the batch filter and date range first, then add other filters one at a time.
- Numbers disagree with another report: make sure the date range and batch selected are exactly the same.
