Check Updates
Check Updates compares the database version in use with the latest version on the application server, shows the changelog, then runs the update if a new version is available.
When to Use
- When the admin wants to compare Your Version with New Version.
- When you need to read the changelog list from the update server.
- When the update button is active because the server version is higher than the local version.
How to Use
- Open the menu Help / App Information / Check Updates.
- The system reads the currently installed database version.
- The page fetches the latest version and changelog from the application server.
- If the update button is active, run the update. The system fetches the version file list, processes the local update, clears the cache, then reloads the application.
Things to Note
- The page temporarily switches to the application server to read the version, then returns to the local server.
- Back up the database before running the update.
- If the update fails, check the connection to the update server and do not repeat it until the cause is clear.
