Counter Screen
The counter officer's working page: open the counter, call next, recall, start serving, finish, skip, transfer, break, close the counter. The counter is decided by the device, the officer by the login.
Setting Up The Counter Screen
- Register the counter PC in Queue Device with type Counter Desk Display and pick the Counter bound to that device. One device = one counter.
- Make sure that counter has Counter Services - without them Call answers "This counter has not been given a single service".
- Open the Counter Screen page on that PC and enter the Device Token once. Officers log in with their own accounts.
- A visitor-facing desk display can be opened as a second window on the same PC's second monitor through Acosys Client, with no extra device.
Buttons And What They Do
| Button | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Open Counter | Opens a counter session for the logged-in officer. Required before calling. "This counter is already open under another officer" means the old session was not closed. |
| Call Next | Takes one waiting ticket from this counter's services: priority tickets first, then the service with the lowest Pick Order, then the lowest number. Two counters pressing at once never get the same ticket. |
| Recall | Announces the same number again; Call Count grows and the recall is logged in Call History. |
| Start Serving | Marks the customer as at the counter - service time counts from here. Absent on Serve On Call services (cashiers): a called number counts as served. |
| Finish | Closes the ticket; wait time and service time are stored on it. |
| Skip | Customer did not show: the ticket becomes No Show and the counter is free to call the next. |
| Transfer | Moves the customer to another service (e.g. from registration to a clinic): the old ticket becomes Transferred, a new ticket is issued in the target service referencing the original. Not to the same service. |
| Break / Close Counter | Pauses or ends the session; the session's served count is stored. |
Common Problems
- "Open the counter before calling a number": no session is open.
- "This device is not bound to any counter": the device is a desk display but its Counter field is empty.
- "No number is waiting": every ticket of this counter's services has been called - not an error.
- "You have no ticket in hand": Finish/Skip pressed without an active ticket.
- Skipping too fast makes a customer walking to the counter lose their number - recall first as a habit.
