Bulk Pricing Setup

Bulk Pricing Setup helps the admin update prices and discounts of many products at once. The user picks a list of products, chooses the price or discount field to change, tests a formula, then applies the result before saving.

When to Use

When selling prices 1 to 7 need recalculating for many products.
When the sales discount or tiered discount prices need updating in the product unit data.
When the admin wants to use a formula such as Math.round(<--salesprice1--> * 0.9) to change prices.
When the product list has been selected from the report masspricing and needs processing in one go.

How to Use

Run the report masspricing to load the products into the working table.
Select Var to Change, for example salesprice1, salesdisc, or a tiered discount price.
Add variables from Var Name to the formula with the add button.
Click Test Expression to try the formula on the first row, then Apply Expression to apply it to all rows.
If the result is correct, click Update Price and type YES in the confirmation dialog.

Things to Note

The formula is executed as a JavaScript expression, so a wrong formula can produce wrong prices for every row.
The Update Price button saves row by row to updatecommondata with the table units and the key indexunit.
If the field changed is salesdisc, the system clears salesdiscformula.
Use the delete-row button to remove products that must not be processed.
