Fields To Watch
| Field | What to watch |
|---|---|
| Counter (code), Name | The code is typed by you, e.g. COUNTER1. |
| Number | The figure announced and displayed: 3 for "Counter 3". |
| Display Name | Text visitors read on the TV; empty = counter name. |
| Division, Department | A counter lives per division, like a service. |
| Counter Services tab | One row per service this counter may call, with a Pick Order: lower numbers are taken first on Call Next - after priority tickets. |
How Call Next Picks A Ticket
- Priority tickets from any of this counter's services come first.
- Then the service with the lowest Pick Order.
- Then the lowest number in that service.
A counter without a single Counter Services row cannot call anything - that is the "This counter has not been given a single service" message on the counter screen.
Common Problems
- The counter calls the wrong service: check Pick Order - order 1 is always drained before order 2.
- The name on the TV did not change: displays use Display Name; the change appears on the next poll.
- Counter missing from the Queue Device choices: it is inactive or in another division.
