Daily Record

One row per day per batch. This is the house operator daily job, and the source of every figure in the farm reports.

When This Form Is Used

Before You Fill It In

Workflow

  1. Pick the batch, then check the date. A batch may only have one row per date.
  2. Enter morning and evening deaths as counted.
  3. Enter animals added if new stock arrived that day.
  4. Enter the sold count if there was a sale, then point at its sales transaction.
  5. Enter the moved-out count if animals were transferred, then pick the destination batch.
  6. Add Feed Usage Detail rows: the product and its kilograms. The product is already suggested from the animal age that day.
  7. Enter eggs, weighed weight, or milk depending on the animal type.
  8. Save, then check that the Feed (kg) column equals the sum of its detail rows.

Fields That Matter

Field What to watch
Deaths morning / evening Kept apart so the daily mortality pattern is readable. Both are summed into the day deaths, and that is what leaves livestock inventory on posting.
Added Only for genuine additions, such as new stock arriving. Animals coming from another house are not typed here.
Sold + Sales Transaction The head count must point at its sales invoice, and that invoice division must match the house division. Otherwise the revenue lands in another cost center.
Moved Out + Moved to Batch One transfer is recorded once, at the source house. The destination population is derived from this row, so do not type it again over there.
Lost Animals that cannot be found. Reduces the population, but is not posted to inventory.
Feed (kg) Not typed. It is the total of the Feed Usage Detail and updates itself whenever a detail row is saved or deleted.
Eggs morning / afternoon / evening Only shown for animal types that track eggs.
Weighed Weight Average weight per head at that day weighing. The basis of the ADG calculation.
