Stock Offer
Stock Offer records the shares offered by the company or by an existing shareholder. The offer becomes the quota that Stock Purchase draws from, so the amount sold can never exceed the amount offered.

When to Use This Form
- When the company issues new shares to be paid in by shareholders.
- When an existing shareholder offers part of their shares to another party.
- When the remaining quota of an offer needs to be tracked.
Before You Start
- Make sure the seller is already registered as an application user. This field links to user data, so a name that does not exist cannot be selected.
- Agree on the number of shares and the value per share before the offer is published.
- Make sure Equity Settings has a Share Capital Account, because the capital paid in later is posted to that account.
Workflow
- Open Equity / Overview & Transactions / Stock Offer.
- Select the seller in the Stockholder field.
- Fill in the number of shares and the value per share; the total follows both.
- Fill in the offer date and the offer deadline if there is one.
- Select the sell status and the target buyer as agreed.
- Turn on Published so the offer becomes visible, then save.

What Happens After Saving
- The offer becomes a quota selectable in the Stock Purchase form.
- Shares Sold and Shares Remaining are recalculated from approved purchases rather than incremented, so repeated saving never drifts.
- An offer whose quota is exhausted is automatically no longer published.
- The offer still appears in the Stock Purchase list even after it is exhausted, so older purchases can still be opened.
Common Issues
- The offer cannot be saved: check the Stockholder field. It links to user data and must not be empty.
- Shares Remaining does not change after a purchase: a purchase that is not approved yet does not consume the quota.
- The offer does not appear in the menu: the Equity Management module is not enabled, or the menu has not been granted to the role.
