Customer Negotiated Price

A special price agreed with one customer or one customer group for a given product and unit. When that product is chosen on a sale for that customer, this price is applied instead of the regular selling price.

When To Use This Form

Fields To Watch

Field What to watch
Customer A row for one customer. When filled, the Customer Group on the same row adds nothing.
Customer Group A row for a whole group - applies only when Customer on that row is empty. A row with both is treated as a customer row.
Product, Unit The negotiated price is per unit; a product sold in boxes and pieces needs two rows.
Price Price per that unit, in the default currency.
Active Off = not used, without deleting.

How The Price Is Picked On A Sale

  1. The user picks the customer on the invoice, then the product and its unit.
  2. The app looks for an active row for that customer + product + unit. If found, the price is applied.
  3. If not, it looks for a group row (Customer empty) for that customer's group + product + unit.
  4. If still none, the regular price tiers from the product master apply.
The negotiated price arrives with the chosen unit, so changing the unit on the invoice line changes the price immediately.
