Contacts
The people on the customer or lead side. The Customer master offers a single contact name, while in B2B the person who orders is almost never the person who pays.
Why It Matters
- The number to chase for payment differs from the number that places orders. Chasing the wrong one is the most common cause of late payment.
- When a salesman changes, these contacts are what keep his replacement from starting at zero.
- One outlet may have an owner, a purchaser, a goods receiver, and a finance person — each deserves its own row.
