Author List
Author List stores the names of writers or creators used in the product master data, especially for books, media, or products that need to be traced by author.

When to Use This Form
- When products need grouping or searching by author.
- When a new author name is not yet available in the product master data.
- When the spelling of author names needs tidying so they are not duplicated.
Before You Start
- Make sure the spelling of author names has been agreed, including titles or abbreviations if used.
Workflow
- Open Products & Inventory / Product Catalog / Author List.
- Enter the author code and name using a pattern that is easy to search.
- Enter the address if the company needs to keep the author's contact information.
- Make sure the name is not duplicated with a different spelling.
- Click Save so the author can be selected in the related product master data.

Details and Relations
- This form has no detail table. Author data is used as a reference in the product master data.
What Happens After Saving
- The author can be selected when filling in the product master data.
- An author name change is reflected in products and reports that use that reference.
- If the code or name is incomplete, the application shows a validation message.
Common Problems
- Data cannot be saved: make sure the code and name have been filled in.
- Data does not appear when searched: check the keyword and user access rights.
- Duplicate name: tidy up the spelling and use one agreed author record.
